TORO the kitten and Yuan the puppy lived on opposite sides of a white picket fence. At first, they were wary of each other - cats and dogs were supposed to be enemies, after all.
But curiosity got the better of them. TORO would peek through gaps in the fence, watching Yuan chase his tail and bark at butterflies. Yuan would sniff eagerly at the fence whenever he caught TORO's scent.
One day, TORO discovered she could squeeze through a loose board. She crept into Yuan's yard, fur on end. But instead of growling, Yuan gave an excited yip and wagged his tail. Soon they were romping through the grass together, all prior prejudices forgotten.
From that day on, TORO and Yuan were inseparable. They napped in sunny spots, shared treats, and comforted each other during thunderstorms. Their unlikely friendship showed that love knows no bounds - not even those between cats and dogs.
